Project description
The project included the renovation of CN Railway’s head office space at downtown Montreal’s Central Station. Urbacon was also responsible for the demolition and site remediation of the ‘M’ Tower building in CN’s Taschereau Yard, in St. Laurent, Québec. The multifaceted CN Railway project was completed in various phases. Phase One was a 60,000 SF major renovation project included the construction of a new Railway Traffic Control Centre that managed the flow of rail traffic across Canada. Phase Two, located in Taschereau Yard, a 920 acre, highly secured site and major hub to several of CN’s rail services, imposed several logistical challenges. Urbacon performed demolition work, site remediation and constructed a new 30,000 SF facility.
