Project description

The goal of the Rogers Restack and Densification was to reconfigure and renovate three buildings at the corner of Bloor Street and Mount Pleasant Road in Toronto to accommodate a higher density occupant load. Employee density was increased 75% through workstation and interior office reconfigurations. We completed the full interior fit-out and renovation of the existing office space while fully occupied. The work included new HVAC, electrical and communications distribution, new finishes and new systems furniture. A new inter-connecting feature stairwell between floors and expanded washroom facilities were simultaneously completed, again while the space was fully occupied.

On the three separate Rogers’ Publishing floors a total of approximately 130,000 SF was completed over 19 separate phases, without use of swing space. Each phase was a concerted effort by the project team to decant, renovate, fit-out and move-in tenants in sequential order, with each phase starting on a Thursday at 5pm, and all work done, including computers and equipment in new workstations and offices, by 7am Monday morning.
