Cosmo Music

This design-build project consisted of creating a new space for Cosmo Music that would organize their products, promote sales as well as spread the joy of music throughout the space through the availability of studios and performances for their clients.

Floor to ceiling glass provides a spectacular streetscape view, looking straight into the open atrium. Glass display cases surrounding the perimeter of the building provide a view of the impressive instrument collections. The showroom gives the feeling of an old European marketplace, where individual vendors selling musical instruments are interconnected through cobblestone paths.

A guitar shaped staircase that connects the first and second floors allows visitors to ascend via chords on the strings. Half of the second floor consists of 40 acoustical sound proofed rooms, and the other half is dedicated to office, boardroom and lounge space.

The extensive detailing involved in this project required the implementation of lean construction practices to improve communication amongst all parties involved. The project was completed on time and on budget.
