Chudleigh’s

Urbacon was the design-builder for Chudleigh’s new 80,000 SF commercial baking, manufacturing, distribution and refrigeration facility in Milton, Ontario. With the success of the project, Urbacon was awarded the contract for Phase 2, a 25,000 SF expansion in 2011. Phase 1 of the project was 85,000 SF that included an 82,000 SF bakery, food coolers and flash-freezers. The bakery was fitted with custom, state-of-the-art equipment operated by 150 full time staff. A new control system was implemented that improved general operation of the plant and a reduction of downtime. Urbacon was subsequently selected as the design-builder for the 25,000 SF addition to this head office production facility. Phase 2 construction included a new mezzanine, lounge, training facility, test kitchen, reception area and staff gym. Construction of the expansion maintained the same exterior appearance (glass and white flexwall/precast).
