Air Miles Loyalty Group

Urbacon renovated 10 floors of existing base building space for the Air Miles Loyalty Group office in downtown Toronto. The renovation of the 165,000 SF office took place in a fully occupied building requiring the installation of hoarding, barriers and seals, creating a negative pressure envelope with HEPA filters to mitigate dust contamination. The project was divided into tenant improvements for the offices, storage rooms, equipment rooms, conference floor, customer care centre, cafeteria and a 3,500 SF fitness centre with changerooms, showers and lockers. The project required the preparation, cut, support and installation of a feature staircase between two floors. The staircase is a standout feature of the project and has created a focal point for employees and visitors within the office space.

The renovation received the Best in Canada Competition Award for Corporate Offices – Canadian Interiors 2008, as well as the Award of Merit – Branding and Wayfinding – ARIDO 2008.
