Telus (PSI Net) Data Centre

PSI Net (later Telus) was designed, constructed and occupied in a remarkable seven months, nearly four months sooner than a building of this size and complexity would normally be completed. Meeting this accelerated schedule meant that design was evolving while the structure was being erected. The additional challenges of residential proximity, existing tenants and a high level of technological complexity demanded a strong team and creative scheduling. The 12,000SF operations centre was reframed and reinforced with steel and clad with curtain wall. Custom interiors reflect the high-tech nature of the business. As a testament to our success on the project, Telus subsequently awarded Urbacon contracts to upgrade the power supply and UPS in addition to fuel storage and supply upgrades.
